Eastern Region Municipality issues more than 1040 online instant licenses<p style="text-align:justify;">​Dammam – e Media: </p><p style="text-align:justify;">In continuation of its accelerated strides towards the “Digital Municipality” concept, Eastern Region Municipality provided more than 80% of their customers with online services. In line with KSA 2030 Vision, the endeavor is part of the digital transition initiatives that were inaugurated by HRH Prince Saud bin Nayef, Governor of Eastern Region.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">According to Mohamed Sifayan, Director of Public Relations and Media, spokesman of Eastern Region Municipality, there is a significant reduction in paper work and customers’ physical visits. The change is attributed to launching of massive online services, systems and applications, integration with many ministries and agencies and adoption of Paperless Municipality concept.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">He said a set of online services and immediate customer support services are launched through municipality portal that integrate with the documents management and archiving systems. More than 6 million documents are archived and more than 5 thousand e-mail addresses are activated. E-mail and SMS messages amount to more than 4 million and 5 million respectively. Moreover, instant business and construction licenses and release of power supply are activated.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Mr. Sifayan thanked all customers who managed to use the electronic channels provided to them and contribute vigorously to achieving this qualitative leap. Visitors to the municipality portal exceed one million seven hundred thousand. MCIT minister meets Yesser employees<p style="text-align:justify;">​Riyadh – MAA: </p><p style="text-align:justify;">Eng. Abdullah Amir Al-Suwaha, MCIT minister described Yesser as the digital arm of the transition process in Saudi Arabia.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">The statement was made during his meeting with Yesser employees at the Ministry’ premises last Thursday in the presence of assistants and advisors to the minister and Yesser Director General. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">Eng. Suwaha emphasized that Yesser has a set of national initiatives within the Ministry’s projects for the “National Transition Program 2020” and “Saudi Arabia Vision 2030”. Yesser has great achievements in the area of supporting government agencies that need to be highlighted, the Minister said. He commended Yasser’s promising national resources. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">The Minister listened to comments and aspirations of the audience and promised to improve intercommunication facilities for all employees. Yesser Steering Committee holds its 86th Meeting<p style="text-align:justify;">​Riyadh-MAA:</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Yesser Steering Committee held its 86th meeting. Chaired by Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Ruwais, Governor of the Communications & Information Technology Commission (CITC), the meeting was attended by the committee members from Ministry of Finance, MCIT, CITC, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Civil Service, Quick Intervention Centre and Yesser Program.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Dr. Ruwais started the meeting by welcoming new committee members and stressed the members’ role to provide Yesser with necessary support to ensure realization of the National Transition objectives e.g. UN e-government ranking and implementation of the strategic decisions issued by the Supervisory Committee.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Eng. Abdul Aziz Shuaibi, Yesser Director General, briefed the meeting on the proceedings of the Supervisory Committee previous meeting No. 10. Main points included Steering Committee rules, budget for the national e-government project and latest update on the NGRP system in government agencies.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Yesser updated National Transition 2020 initiatives were reviewed. Percentage of completion of each initiative was highlighted. Eng. Abdul Aziz bin Sulaiman signaled present challenges encountered by the initiatives and projects pending budget allocations in order to be started by the second half of 2017.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">The committee agreed to provide necessary support in order to overcome the challenges encountered by Yesser. Ministry of Labor receives Middle East Award of Excellence for Smart Government and Cities<p>​Riyadh-E media:</p><p>Saudi Ministry of Labor & Social Development has been conferred the Middle East Award of Excellence of the year 2017 for Government and Smart Cities in GCC countries. King Fahd Security College utilizes integrated services offered by seven government agencies<p style="text-align:justify;">Riyadh-MAA:</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Upon integration with the Government Service Bus (GSB), King Fahd Security College managed to use services offered by government agencies through the Government Service Bus. The list of services utilized by the College include training programs offered by the Public Administration Institute, services offered by Ministry of Education including student and alumni records, inquiry about records of students on out-of-the-country scholarship programs and enrollment service.
