National Center for Digital Certification (NCDC)
The National Center for Digital Certification provides integrated system for management
of the public key infrastructure. It is a security integrated systems for managing
the security keys used for achieving information confidentiality, authentication
of users' identities, ensuring data integrity against tampering and change, and
using digital signatures. Upon these functions rest electronic services such as
e-government, e-commerce and other electronic applications. This security structure
enables all types and classes of web users to perform electronic transactions in
full security, credibility and safety. In 1426H, the task for creating the National
Center for Digital Certification was transferred form King Abdulaziz City for Science
& Technology (KACST) to the Ministry of Communication & Information Technology (MCIT).
