King Fahd Security College utilizes integrated services offered by seven government agencies<p style="text-align:justify;">Riyadh-MAA:</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Upon integration with the Government Service Bus (GSB), King Fahd Security College managed to use services offered by government agencies through the Government Service Bus. The list of services utilized by the College include training programs offered by the Public Administration Institute, services offered by Ministry of Education including student and alumni records, inquiry about records of students on out-of-the-country scholarship programs and enrollment service. Minister of Communications & Information Technology chairs the 7th meeting for preparations to meet the UN e-government index<p>Riyadh-MAA:</p><p>HE Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, MCIT minister chaired the 7th meeting for preparation to meet the UN index on the e-government for 2018. Held at MCIT headquarters, the meeting was attended by representatives of 12 government agencies and Eng. Abdul Aziz A-Shuaibi, Yesser Director General.</p><div>MCIT minister stressed the need to meet the aspirations of the Saudi Arabia government and the image of Saudi Arabia as a country interested in technology for featuring sustainable national development. Yesser team visits Sattam University and conducts PowerPoint presentation on the National Call Centre (AMER)<p>Riyadh-E media:</p><p> A team from Yesser visited Prince Sattam University and conducted PowerPoint presentation on the National Call Center. Composed of Sulaiman bin Haisha, director of products and shared services, Waleed Al-Shaya, education officer and Abul Wahab bin Aftan, call center operation manager, the team met Dr. Abdullah Al-Bahdal, dean of Information Technology.Services to government agencies and projects and products supported by Amer and channels through which services are delivered were highlighted as well as Amer locations and operators.  The visit was designed to introduce the services offered by the Call Center to government agencies. Yesser is keen to provide technical support and advice to government agencies to ensure they deliver high level services to their respective customers. Yesser uses eight channels for this purpose: direct contact through dedicated telephone line (199099), instant response through the website, e-mail (www.199099.gov.sa) , call center accounts in social media (Facebook, Tweeter), FAX, and direct contact through the website or SMS. Minister of Communications & Information Technology receives Director General of the National Information Center<p style="text-align:justify;">Riyadh-E media:</p><p style="text-align:justify;">MCIT minister Eng. Abdulla Swaha met at his office in MCIT on Sunday 21/5/2017, the Director General of the National Information Center Eng. Nabeel Al-Omar. The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation between MCIT and NIC by joining forces between the two agencies and delivering shared services with respect to digital certification in Saudi Arabia. MCIT minister participates in the International Telecommunications Union 2017 session in Geneva <div style="text-align:justify;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;">Geneva-E media:</span></div><div style="text-align:justify;"><span style="background-color:#ffffff;"></span>Minister of CIT Eng. Abdullah bin Amir Swaha participated Wednesday 21 Shaban 1438 H in the 2017 session of the International Telecommunications Union (ITC) in Geneva. The session was also attended by Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Rewis, Governor of the Communication and Information Technology Commission, Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Mohamed Al-Wasel, ambassador and permanent representative of Saudi Arabia at the United Nations.</div><div style="text-align:justify;">In his speech before the session, CIT minister expressed his happiness for participating in the 2017 session. It is the fifty third year since Saudi Arabia started to participate in this event. CIT minister confirmed Saudi Arabia commitment to support ITU so that it will be able to serve the CIT sector at the world level. The CIT minister signaled the National 2020 Transition Program launched by Saudi Arabia, within its 2030 Vision. The CIT sector is one of the most important pillars of this program, the minister said. It provides for concentration on developing the digital infrastructure based on three main themes: broad band, capacities, content and digital security. He urged ITU to develop international rules and regulations to combat cyber-attacks targeting both developed and developing countries that would adversely affect life activities. ITU, as a UN telecommunication organization should initiate international rules and regulations that ensure more safe and reliable cyber environment, the minister said. At the end of his speech, CIT minister confirmed that KSA appreciates all ITU recommendations and decisions and assists ITU member countries, specially developing and underdeveloped countries in order to avail technology and organizational developments. KSA supports ITU activities so that it keeps pace with new technology and organizational trends and variables in the CIT environment. He expressed his wishes for successful 2017 session results that realize aspirations of all member countries. He confirmed that KSA delegation will cooperate and support any effort that realizes the desired results.</div><div style="text-align:justify;">His Excellency met ITU secretary general at his office and discussed several ITU important issues and KSA supporting role. He also met vice secretary general and directors of development, measurement and radio communication sectors.</div><div><div style="text-align:justify;">KSA is a member to ITU since 1949.  It chaired ITU board two times. It maintains its membership of ITU board since 1965. KSA was re-elected in all the elections since that date. KSA devotes its resources and expertise for supporting ITU activities as a UN telecommunications & IT entity. CIT Minister participates in the Belt & Road Summit<div>Beijing-E Media:</div><div>Eng. Abdullah bin Amir Al-Swaha, CIT minister participated in the Belt & Road Summit held in Beijing, China capital in 14-15 May 2017. The forum was attended by 28 head of states and governments, experts, scholars, businessmen, media folks and officials from 60 countries.</div><div>The summit is one of the tools for implementing the Belt and Road Initiative according to the “Initiative Implementation Vision issued in 2015”. During King Salman recent visit to The People’s Republic of China, KSA confirmed its support for hosting the summit in China. The significance of the forum stems from creating closer relationships in various issues and strengthening bilateral relations.</div><div>During the recent royal visit, a branch of King Abdul Aziz Library was opened in Beijing as a new bridge of cultural communication between peoples of the two countries.    </div><div>KSA signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chines side in Riyadh between MCIT and the Chinese Reform & Development Committee. An executive program was signed in Beijing for the content of the memorandum of understanding to develop the information silk road; a program designed to promote cooperation between the two countries and exchange of expertise in the area of CIT applications in coordination with government agencies and business organizations. It also provides for online implementation of the silk road in the area of e-commerce between the two countries. Three cities will be selected on each country and platforms for technology exchange will be established. The two countries will cooperate in the areas of developing human capital and training and CIT including internet (Broad band), satellite services, cyber security, digital content, cloud computing, human resources development in the area of CIT, training, education and exchange of expertise in order to educate human resources in CIT area and ensure cooperation between the two parties in associated entities e.g. the ITU, universities and companies.</div><div>This agreement was signed during the visit of the Vice Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense Prince Mohamed bin Salman to the Peoples’ Republic of China a couple of months ago.</div><div>The forum was considered the most prominent international event arranged by China this year. It the most highest level meeting on the two initiatives of the Chinese president Xi Jinping for revival of the land silk road and sea silk road in the 21st Century. The initiatives were launched in September and October 2013. The forum discussed the best ways to activate the Chinese initiative and identify areas of cooperation in commerce and infrastructure among countries lying along the economic belt of the silk road and establishing closer partnership.</div><div>The economic and commercial advisor at the Chinese embassy in Riyadh said the forum reinstates the prestigious silk road that had existed two thousand years ago as well as the sea silk road in the 21st century. He said Saudi people usually visit several Chinese cities. There are 140 Chinese companies working at present  in sea ports, roads, railway and metro projects.<br></div><p><br></p>Eng.
